More Winter Predicted According to Groundhog, Local Forecast Aligns

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, which according to folklore means six more weeks of winter. We don't speak groundhog, so we're not sure if that applies to us here in Kansas, or if it's only for Pennsylvania. And where did he study meteorology anyway? Regardless, it does appear we'll see a return of more wintry conditions for the second week of February. Much too soon to get into specifics, but below average temperatures and a few chances for light snow are trending more likely.
