Search Continues for 10-Year-Old Alice. $1,000 reward, no questions asked.
Abilene, KS — The search continues for Alice, a 10-year-old dog who went missing from her home in Abilene on the evening of August 20th. According to her owner, Belinda Gatlin, Alice slipped out of her pen while it was being cleaned around 7:30 p.m. Gatlin realized the dog was missing when she noticed their other dog, a 13-year-old who usually stays close to Alice, wandering alone.
"We were cleaning out the pen that they stay in when they’re outside," Gatlin said. "She slipped through the gate while we were doing so."
Alice, a rare breed with distinctive coloration, has been with the Gatlin family since she was a puppy. Gatlin expressed concern that Alice’s unique appearance and friendly nature may have led to her being taken. "The reason I worry someone took her is because we live close to a busy road, and she’s far too trusting and sweet to ignore someone calling to her," she explained.
Despite efforts to locate Alice, including the use of drones and community searches, there have been no reported sightings. "Nobody has spotted her at all despite drone efforts and numerous people searching," Gatlin noted.
Gatlin has distributed flyers and reached out to the community, determined to find Alice. "I won’t stop until I know what happened to her," she stated.
The search for Alice is ongoing. Anyone with information about the missing dog is encouraged to contact local authorities or the Gatlin family. The Gatlins can be called or texted at: 785-492-4744. There is a $1,000 Reward, no questions asked.
